Join us on Saturday 7th December for a chance to see the on-going work of the Tayvallich Estate team. We are hosting three sessions across the day. We hope to see you at one (or more) of them!
Walk & Talk
10.30am - 12.30am or 1.30pm - 3.30pm (accessible)
Free mini-bus from Tayvallich Community Hall, and back again.
Join Ewan (Estate Manager), David (Marine Lead) and Calum (Co-chief Scientist) for a short walk on land and on the shore. Find out about the on-going work of the Tayvallich Estate team, including the use of new technologies for land management and findings from a year-long study of the biodiversity on the estate and in the water.
A free mini-bus will take you down to the estate, departing at 10.30am and 1.30pm. Both sessions are free and open to everyone of all ages. Tea and cake will be provided afterwards at the Hall.
Please wrap up warm and wear sturdy footwear suitable for uneven ground if you are joining the morning session.
The afternoon session will be accessible for those with lower mobility, or for anyone who feels unsteady on rough ground. We will chat from the comfort of the bus; and when outside we will stay on firm or tarmaced ground.
Ally’s Bike Hire will be at the hall throughout the day providing bikes to borrow free of charge. Borrow a bike to cycle down to one of our sessions, or just for fun. The cycle down to the estate takes roughly 30 minutes.
Winter Blether
7.00pm - 8.00pm
Tayvallich Community Hall
Join the Tayvallich Estate team in the Hall as they chat about their work across the estate. This will be an informal session with lots of time to ask questions and be curious about the work of the team. A full study of the biodiversity of the estate has recently been completed and the team will share some of their most exciting findings. We will also chat about our work in restoration, grazing, deer management and more.
The Winter Blether is free and open to everyone. Tea and cake provided!
